How we work
Four steps. Each one ends with something in your hands.
A process is only worth publishing if you can hold us to it. So each stage below names the artefact you receive, and you can refuse to move to the next one until you have it.
Discover
A call, then a site visit or a workshop with the people doing the work. We would rather understand the problem than start quoting a solution.
What you have at the end
A written summary of the problem and the options.
Specify
Scope, architecture, timeline and a fixed quote. Detailed enough that you could take it to another vendor and get a comparable price.
What you have at the end
A proposal you could hand to another vendor.
Build
Short cycles with a demo at the end of each one. You see working software or installed hardware, not a status percentage.
What you have at the end
Working software or installed hardware you can check.
Support
Training, documentation and credential handover, then a care plan if you want one. Support is the product, not an upsell.
What you have at the end
Ownership, and a support contract.
Always included
What comes with every project.
- Source code and the repository it lives in.
- Documentation: architecture
- credentials and how to run it.
- Training for the people who will use and administer it.
- Thirty days of post-launch fixes
- at no cost.
Always separate
What we never bury in a total.
- Third-party licences and subscriptions.
- Hosting and domains
- in your own account.
- Hardware
- quoted at cost with the installation fee stated.
- Content writing and photography.
- Change requests
- quoted before work starts and never absorbed silently.
Working together
What we need from you.
Every project that has gone badly has gone badly for one of these reasons. None of them is a surprise, so we say them at the start.
A decision maker
Someone who can say yes without a committee
available for a short call each week.
Access
To the systems
the data and the people doing the work. Late access is the commonest cause of a late project.
Content and sign-off
Copy
images and approvals
on the dates agreed. We will chase
but we cannot write your policy for you.
Next step
Start with a call. It costs nothing.
Most engagements start with a free discovery call. Larger ones begin with a paid discovery sprint, credited against the project if it proceeds.
We reply to every enquiry within one working day.
